Students at Antonine University launch carpooling initiative to ease costs and traffic

Maronite News - Students at Antonine University have launched an academic initiative aimed at promoting carpooling among university students, as transportation costs continue to rise and traffic congestion increases.

The project offers a practical solution by encouraging students to share daily rides, helping reduce individual expenses while strengthening a sense of community on campus.

Currently in its early stages, the initiative relies on an anonymous survey to better understand students’ commuting habits and needs. The results will serve as a foundation for developing a structured and sustainable carpooling system.

The students behind the initiative are encouraging their peers to take a minute to complete the survey, emphasizing that all responses remain confidential and are used strictly for academic purposes.

مارونايت نيوز - أطلق طلاب في الجامعة الأنطونية مبادرة أكاديمية تهدف إلى تشجيع مشاركة السيارات بين طلاب الجامعة، في ظل ارتفاع تكاليف النقل وتزايد الازدحام المروري.

يركّز المشروع على تقديم حل عملي من خلال تشجيع الطلاب على تقاسم الرحلات اليومية، ما يساهم في خفض النفقات الفردية وتعزيز روح التعاون داخل الحرم الجامعي.

تعتمد المبادرة في مرحلتها الحالية على جمع البيانات عبر استبيان مجهول الهوية، يهدف إلى فهم عادات التنقل لدى الطلاب واحتياجاتهم بشكل أدق، تمهيدًا لوضع نظام منظم ومستدام لمشاركة السيارات.

ودعا القائمون على المشروع زملاءهم إلى تخصيص دقيقة للإجابة على الاستبيان، مؤكدين أن جميع الإجابات سرّية وتُستخدم حصراً لأغراض أكاديمية.
